Default Consumable Petition

There is one thing I have been wanting since April Fool's and I was wondering if Anet could possibly add it to GWEN as a consumable.

I would like the option to change the sex of one's character, like how they did in LA during April Fools weekend. After seeing certain armors, I now wished I had made a male Dervish over a female one...and visa versa for other characters. Could this be made possible with a consumable? If so, I know that it would be a pretty popular consumable.

Another possible consumable would be the abilty to just change your character's facial features some, like the eye color or hair color. Ex.) My female ele has red hair which looks good with the 15k air armor dyed red when I originally made her 2+ years ago, but not when it is dyed blue or with other newer armor types. Could a consumable be made to allow small alterations in the face or would this idea be too hard to implement?

Definately think the first one is possible though!

Yeah, it would be great for players, and it would be an easy way for ANet to create some gold sinks.

And wrong board.

Your GW character is not a shapeshifter. They should not be able to change gender or bodily appearance at will.
If you want a male dervish rather than a female then make a new one and start over.

Although this should be in Suggestions, why does this offend you so?

Heard of Transmogrifier Tonic? Yuletide Tonic? Everlasting Beetle Juice Tonic?

GW is a fanstasy game, for Dwayna's sake!

The fact Anet did this randomly as an April Fool's joke already makes your argument moot. Lighten up and have some fun. This could easily be a "Fooled You!" Tonic or something of the sort.

/signed (could be permanent, like Everlasting Beetle Juice Tonic)

People who don't want this are really sad. It wouldn't really affect the economy since they aren't drops, just consumables. It doesn't affect rarity/value of anything. It doesn't affect gameplay since nothing in the game depends on sex/appearance. Anyone who doesn't /sign is pretty sad.

Yeah, our characters are not shapeshifters. When we change our appearence to be an avatar of a God, a rollerbeetle, an elf, and a candy corn golem, we're just imagining that.

Seriously, what is wrong with this idea? If someone wants to change their gender/appearence in a fantasy game, let them. It's not going to have any affect.

I personally wouldn't mind this, my male monk is ugly, and looked mych better on April 1st.

Changeable hair, i like the idea of this, maybe not design but deffinatley have a person selling hair dye. I dont like the idea of being able to change from male to female. if you think about it, all the other transformations have a reason, this would jsut be there cos people want to look different, the others are for fun!

This is as bad as the hairstyle/character edit arguments.

What's the problem with someone being able to edit their character? Some of us made them over two years ago now and tastes change. I used to think long hair looked really cool, for example, thus my warrior has long hair. Two years later, I really wish he could have a shorter style, and maybe a slightly older appearence. A little taller.

What's the problem with someone being able to do that? Like was said this is a fantasy game. Far more illogical things happen during the game, I don't think it's too far fetched to say there's a way your characters appearance could change a little. Completely restarting my Warrior who is now over two years old and has many titles, weapons and armour is out of the question. We should not have to reroll just to change a hairstyle, or height or even the sex.

Even if it's not a feature you would use, I see nothing wrong with adding these kinds of features. /signed.

I'm not in for the sex change, it sounds to weird to me, also would be funny to see a male warrior named goddess of war. lol

But I'm in for a hairstylist and have no idea why anet has not implemented that yet.

The sex changer would be a little odd... Maybe a consumable that allows you to change sex in a town, outpost, or PvE area.

/Signed for both anyways.

ANet should have really added a feature where you could change the appearance of a character you've already created...

But this is just not going to happen, methinks.

How can you be for one and not the other? Is it the whole "sex change" part that makes you go ick? That's pretty dumb.

Suggestion is against the basic principals of RPG.

PS. In GW2 you might ask for something that can change your race as well....

Wild Elf Tonic appeared!
Elf Tonic hits you with ignorance!
The attack is super effective!
Mineria fainted!

In all seriousness, though... Elf Tonics and Rollerbeatle Tonics would be against the "basic principals of RPG" then.

The reason I don't just delete this character for new character of the opposite sex is because I have maxed 13 titles on this character. I value the time and effort I put into this character, but I prefer how the armor looks on the male character...especially the newer ones.

Even the Primeval armor which is identical, looks a bit better on a male due to the way there stance. As others have said, this does not affect anyone other than the owner of the character, so why not?!

Yes, if the tonics have a permanent effect.
